Une premi\u00e8re r\u00e9daction en fran\u00e7ais, \u00e9tablie avec l\u2019aide de Luce Giard et de Vincent Bardet, parut dans <em>Le Monde<\/em> en trois livraisons (mai 1973). D\u00e9velopp\u00e9e et remani\u00e9e, elle fut l\u2019objet d\u2019une premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition. Sur cette trame, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e et enrichie de travaux conduits au CIDOC de Cuernavaca, fut \u00e9tablie une version anglaise plus longue et plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9e qui engendra ensuite, par le m\u00eame processus, une nouvelle version en allemand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette seconde \u00e9dition en fran\u00e7ais a \u00e9t\u00e9 traduite de l\u2019allemand, puis collationn\u00e9e avec les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes versions fran\u00e7aise et anglaise. On esp\u00e8re ainsi ne pas avoir privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 ces enrichissements successifs aux d\u00e9pens de la pr\u00e9cision ou de la coh\u00e9rence de l\u2019argumentation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On a par ailleurs fait suivre ce texte d\u2019une annexe r\u00e9dig\u00e9e par Jean-Pierre Dupuy.
